“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight.” -Proverbs 3:5-6
Shift the weight of your life from your understanding to God. Rely on God’s wisdom over your own.
- “Trust in the Lord…”
- Trust = Depending on God
- The difference between: Believing God exists vs Believing God can be trusted
Prayer Point: “God, I choose Your way even when I don’t understand.”
- “…with ALL your heart”
- God is asking for complete trust, not partial trust
- Many people trust God with
- Church
- Emergencies
- When it feels safe
- But hold onto:
- Finances
- Relationships
- Control
- Wholehearted trust.
- “Lean NOT on your own understanding”
- God is saying: Stop using your own understanding as your support system and trust me.
- Your view = snapshot 📸
- God’s view = entire movie 🎬
- “In ALL your ways acknowledge Him”
- Invite God into every decision
- “He will make your paths straight”
- Straight paths don’t mean no problems. It means less confusion and fewer self-created detours.
- God directs the path of the surrendered heart.
